Monday

Each of my weekdays usually blend into one; coffee, kids, clean and repeat…

Today though was different!

After dropping off Ben (Grade 1) at school, Matty (aged 3) and I came home to commence the

usual routine as mentioned above only to have an epiphany. I was starting my Monday morning clean only to look down and see this beautiful smiling face looking back up at me.

I realized even though the dishes were piling up,

the floor needed sweeping,

and my hair needed washing (photo not provided) that those things don't matter to the little ones. I instead picked him and we danced to my favourite Norah Jones song.

The morale I felt today and will remember every day is that life is short and they are only little for a short period of time. Put down the broom, vacuum, and/or iphone and enjoy our time together.
